6 - 12 months of augmentation is typical for Juvederm, depending upon where the product is placed.
6 months - around the mouth (lips, nasolabial fold, marionette lines), it usually lasts 6 months because this area of the face is the most mobile.
9 months - In other areas of the face however, such as the glabella (between the eyes) and tear trough (under the eyes), Juvederm may last 9 months, and sometimes even up to 1 year. This may be especially true if Botox is also used in this area.
1 year? - Juvederm is approved by the FDA for up to one year. With multiple syringes, we do see results at one year, but most patients need additional volume at one year.
And remember, make sure you consult with an experienced injector.
