Juvederm fills lines and wrinkles

Juvederm is a type of filler called a hyaluronic acid filler.  Restylane and Perlane are two other hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring and is found in all living things.  When injected into the skin it holds onto water and plumps up the skin.  It is FDA approved for use in the US around the nose and mouth. It is often used "off-label" and injected into other sites such as the lips, cheeks, and under eyes.  Juvederm fills lines and wrinkles and restores volume to the face that is lost in the aging process.

The results are immediate.  There may be some swelling and bruising that may last one week, but most people are able to immediately resume normal activities. 

Juvederm is used as part of your overall facial rejuvenation. It helps to soften lines and also give back volume that we tend to lose over the years. We do recommend coming in for a consultation to determine if Juvederm is the right choice for you. Areas that Juvederm is used most commonly: Nasolabial folds (the parathesis from your nose/mouth), marionette lines (puppet lines), lips, and tear trough (under eyes).
