its really hard to find information about the breast augmentation doctors, who to go to, how to make the decision about one doctor over another.

Go to the website of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery: www.surgery.org

Look under "Find A Surgeon". Membership in this society is by invitation only and the members of this society devote their practices to cosmetic surgical procedures. Most are also members of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and are board certified in Plastic Surgery.

Once you've narrowed your search in this way, ask around. If your friends have had surgery, get their recommendations and go in for a consultation. You'll quickly get a feel for where you are most comfortable.
