Forehead lift is not a correct term. The whole goal of a brow lift is to elevated the brows right? Well to do that you have elevate the forehead which the brows are attached to.
The main difference that you must consider is open vs. endoscopic. An open brow lift usually has an incision several centimeters behind the hairline and from ear to ear. In circumstances where the patient has a high forehead and elevation would worsen this condition then a hairline incision can be used. However, the end result is that you're still elevating the brow.
An endoscopic lift utilizes 3-5 incisions perpendicular to the hair line. The tissues are elevated and tacked to the bone with anchors. No skin is removed. Again the end result is elevation of the brows.
So the correct term should be brow lift not forehead lift.
