Forehead Lift vs Browlift

Richard W. Fleming, MD answers: Is a brow lift different from a forehead lift?

I know this seems like a silly question, but I see both terms used and am not sure if they're the same surgery...

The terms can be confusing. With a forehead lift the incision can be made in the center of the forehead, at the hairline, or within the hair. Using any of these procedures, the brows are usually elevated. A browlift can be achieved with an incision immediately above the brows or within the crease of the upper eyelid. With these approaches, the forehead is not lifted. In discussions with your surgeon, be clear what you're trying to achieve.

A forehead lift has different modifications that address key anatomical areas of the forehead and eyebrow region. The different procedures take into account hairline, size and dimension of the forehead, and level of eyebrow depression.
