Fraxel smooths texture and fine lines, but does not lift sagging skin

Fraxel re:store continues to "wow" patients with its success in improving photoaging of the skin with minimal social downtime (swelling for 1-3 days). It lightens dark spots, helps crows feet, improves fine lines, diminishes pore openings and helps acne scars. Best of all, it can be used on almost all skin types.

While many consider the improvement a "tightening" effect, it is really a smoothing effect. Volumetric filling and Thermage or Titan might be better non-surgical skin tightening devices.

Sagging is best treated surgically unless the patient is under 50; then fillers, Fraxel and/or Titan is better.
