Injection techniques for Juvederm and Restylane

Stella Desyatnikova, MD answers: Is the injection technique for Juvederm different from Restylane?

Is the injection technique for a monophasic HA filler (Juvederm) different from a biphasic filler (Restylane)?

There might be a slight difference in the injection technique for these products. It depends on the area of the face, the exact product used: Juvederm Ultra or Ultra Plus, Restylane, or Perlane, the amount of product used, and the patient cosmetic needs. Different injectors have different techniques as well. Make sure you go to an experienced injector.

You are getting a bit too scientific about this and should consider these to be the same thing.  The companies make many claims about soft vs hard, longer lasting vs shorter lasting etc but essentially they are equivalent for your purposes and the injections are done the same way.
