Did Hyaluronidase cause allergic reaction?

I had an injection of Hyaluronidase (i think). It was an injection to dissolve some restylane that I was not happy with. I now have what looks like a blister where the Hyaluronidase was injected. The blister has gotten larger over the course of several hours. Is this an allergic reaction? When will it go away?

One of the most common side effects to Hyaluronidase injections is an allergic reaction. In general, Hyaluronidase purchased from a manufacturer is less prone to causing an allergic reaction than Hyaluronidase purchased at a compounding pharmacy (when the pharmacist prepares the compound at the pharmacy). If it is an allergic reaction, you could resolve the issue by taking Benedryl or a a steroid.

I had restylane injected into the naso-labial lines, but the needle was aimed upwards and it went into the lower part of my cheek on the right hand side, making my face feel tight when I smiled. I went back to have hyaluronidase injected into the lower right cheek and immediately got a swelling, which felt like an allergic reaction. My 'mistake' was to place ice on the swollen area, as this moved the swelling up into my eye socket, the next day when I woke up my eye and face were swollen, but I put a cool fan in the direction of my face for a few hours and over the course of the day, the swelling reduced. A day later my face was back to normal and the restylane in the lower part of my right cheek had been reduced. I think the eye area, where some people have restylane injected, make take a little longer to return to normal, after the hyaluronidase allergic reaction. I only wish the possible effects of the hyaluronidase had been explained to me from the outset, which would have saved a lot of panic.
