Getting rid of acne scars on the face

Acne scars on the face especially the chin and cheeks are best treated with the CO2 laser. Typically acne scars are deeper than other scars and require a sanding or abrasion type of treatment. The CO2 laser best accomplishes that task and the secondary effects of the laser include heating the tissue and creating collagen stimulation that can result in continued improvement over time.

Alternatives include fillers like Restylane or Juvederm for plumping them up if they are depressed smaller areas otherwise larger volumes may be required. Fillers, though, are a temporary improvement.
