This is not always predictable due to the individuals response to the injury.
Do you bruise when you get your blood drawn? I bet sometimes yes and sometimes no. What's the difference?
There are things you can control and things you can't when it comes to bleeding/bruising/swelling and somethings that are myth.
- AVOID ASA (aspirin) for 2 weeks & NSAIDs (i.e., motrin) for 1 week
- AVOID alcohol
- Use small needles
- Apply ice before and immediately after
- AVOID laying down or holding your breath during injections
- Limit activity for 4-6 hours
