The results of Juvederm or any filler can vary depending on the experience and expertise of the injector. Inject a material too deep and you won't see results, if the injection is too superficial you may see lumps.
For many first time patients, or people on a tight budget, we may have them start with Prevelle Silk, another injectible filler from Hyaluronic acid. Prevelle is promoted as a product that can be injected today and look your best for tonight. Most people will not experience any bruising or swelling with Prevelle. However, the results of Prevelle last just a few months compared to closer to a year with Juvederm.
More important than the price is getting the most for your money. Find an injector that is a top user of Juvederm who performs injections daily, or at least several times each week. Be sure to look at a lot of before and after photos. In most cases, many staff members at a plastic surgery or dermatology practice will have had injections performed so you should be able to see the results in person.
