Your surgeon will give you enough stitches to get the best facelift result

Christopher L. Hess, MD answers: How many stitches does a facelift require?

How many stitches are there in an average facelift? What's considered a normal amount?

I always find it interesting that people like to know how many stitches they get.  This is especially true in lacerations.  And yet it's the one thing that plastic surgeons never focus on.

When we do surgery we place as many sutures as is necessary to achieve the necessary result.  There's no magic number and everyone is different.  Because each patent is unique, each surgery is unique.  So there's no need to get hung up on number.
