How long do different wrinkle fillers last?

The newer “dermal fillers” have virtually replaced the older injectables, such as collagen, whose treatment effects lasted only about 3 months. With the newer fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Sculptra, and others, you can get a smoother and more volumized facial appearance that can last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year or more.

In sum, dermal fillers are a great way to add volume to the lips and to smooth out lines around the mouth, nose, chin, or elsewhere on the face. They work very well and most folks are happy with the results.

Restylane and Juvederm are hyaluronic-based products and last about 6 to 9 months – these are generally the most commonly used cosmetic fillers. There are some newer fillers that promise somewhat longer lasting results, however, with a longer-lasting product comes more cost and increased risk of side effects.
