As long as retainers are worn!

Ryan Sellinger, DMD answers: How long do Invisalign results last?

I have always had straight teeth, but they started to shift when I turned 23 (I'm 24 now and they are still shifting). If I get Invisalign and straighten my teeth, will the results be permanent, or will I have to worry about shifting again?

Invisalign is a wonderful way to straighten teeth that have shifted after braces.  Once invisalign has achieved the goal of straightening the teeth, a retainer must be worn every night to maintain the teeth in the position.  If this is done, the teeth should stay straight as long as the retainer is worn.
