Fraxel results are incremental

Eric L. Weisberg, MD answers: How long before you see improvements after Fraxel Restore?

For Fraxel Restore in treating superficial fine lines, enlarged pores and shallow scars,  from your experience, is most of the dermal improvement from new collagen stimulation of these indications seen right after 4th and fifth session treatment or have you seen most of dermal improvements months after last session?

When treating patients with the Fraxel Restore device, we typically see incremental results after each treatment. For pigmentation improvement, often results can be obtained within 3-4 treatments while it may take up to 6 treatments to see the full improvements for fine lines and wrinkles.

We do have a subset of patients who believe that they did not see much improvement during the early treatments, but end up seeing significant improvements by the end.  This might be due to possibility that collagen continues to build for some time after each treatment.
