Do Both!!!

D.J. Verret, MD answers: Fraxel and facelift done within the same year?

I have been to a couple of plastic surgeons. One says to get facelift, another says to get Fraxel. Can I have the Fraxel done first and then do the facelift in the same year? I also just had Thermage done 1 month ago, with no results. Will this affect any of these procedures?

The best option may be a facelift and carbon dioxide laser resurfacing. These can be done at the same time. If you were to consider both treatments though, I would not do the laser first followed by the facelift because you will not get the maximum benefit from the laser. Thermage will not effect either procedure and if you have signficant skin laxity and aging changes, it is no surpise that you did not see a change after Thermage. As always - an evaluation by a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon who performs a full range of procedures is your best option.
