David Lawrence Kaufman, MD answers: Financing plastic surgery: monthly payments?

Can I pay for breast implant, lip enhancement, and rhinoplasty surgeries on a monthly basis instead of paying for them all at the same time? I'm wondering because I am very intrested in those 3 cosmetic surgeries and I am planning on getting them soon. I just want more information on it.

Hi Haley,

Many people ask about the various payment options for cosmetic procedures.... and each practice is different in their financial policy.  In general, most offices require payment in advance of the procedure.  Many offices work with third party financing companies that can provide payment to the practice, and you in turn pay monthly payments to them.  Two of the more popular companies are CareCredit and MyMedicalLoan.com.

If you are just starting your research on your procedures, it's not a bad idea to get pre-qualified by one of the companies so you'll know what you can reasonably afford!
