Please be very careful about traveling to other countries for plastic surgery. I have several patients each month who end up in my office who have traveled to other countries to have plastic surgery. They then return to the US and have problems and end up in our offices wanting everything fixed. It would be best to find a local or regional surgeon to do your surgery.

Thread lifts don't work well. They drop very quickly. Sorry I can't recommend someone in Brazil. I don't know anyone personally there that I can recommend.

A: Threads are best put in with open technique

The "thread lift" procedure which you mentioned has very much fallen out of favor. Surgeons have found that the threads (or sutures) are better off being placed with an open technique, where the surgeon can more carefully place them to re-position the sagging tissues.

I frankly don't know anyone doing this procedure at this time either in Brazil, or this country.

I agree with Dr. Wallach re: thread lifts, but would warn you away from "surgical tourism". I have seen many catastrophies from south of the border. Don't forget that intermediate and long term post operative care are very importaht to the overall result--AND YOUR HEALTH!
