Does subcision surgery work to get rid of cellulite?

What is subcision, and how does it fix cellulite?  Does surgery really work as a cellulite treatment?

I am not aware of any studies on subcision surgery for cellulite that support this method of treatment.

Cellulite can be difficult to treat effectively, and nonsurgical treatments including endermologie have
been used with limited success.
