Restylane and the forehead

Steven Wallach, MD answers: Does Restylane work for forehead lines and wrinkles?

According to the Restylane website, Restylane may be used to decrease both the horizontal lines across the forehead and vertical line between the eyebrows. Can Restylane be used in place of Botox successfully?

Restylane is not the best thing for forehead lines. Usually Botox is used for facial lines of animation.  Sometimes, I will inject a small amount of a hyaluronic acid into the "11" lines but this is off-label.
