Dentists set their prices according to many variables including lab cost of procedure, office overhead, time spent on procedure, etc. A simple example is that a downtown dental practice will usually have higher fees than a suburban or rural practice simply because of the increased cost of rent (overhead). The higher fee is usually accepted by patients willing to pay a little extra for the convenience.
