Fraxel Re:pair, in the early stages (first 2 days) has some pinpoint bleeding and swelling. This subsides fairly quickly within 4 to 5 days, allowing patients to wear makeup. The results are phenomenal, ridding of wrinkles and pigmentation issues. The treatments can vary in intensity delivered, and not everyone needs the same settings. This is why some patients can be treated using topicals only for pain control and others may need local anesthetics injections in addition to the topical.
Fraxel Re:pair is typically a one session treatment, unlike Restore which requires 4 to 5 treatments. It might be best to ask your doctor which laser you were treated with for your own future reference.
