Cream for Burn Scar from Boiling Water?

My daughter (9 years old) poured boild water from flask inadvertently. It was about 8 months ago. Now the white scar is still apear, though the color is returning to normal. What is the best medicine or cream to be applied for the skin return back to normal appearance?

Burn scars
Unfortunately burn scars are very difficult to treat. At this point, a topical medication is unlikely to help because the scar is already 8 months old. The final appearance of a scar occurs at about 1 year (this is how long it takes for the remodeling underneath the skin to be completed). If there is pigment alteration you may want to consider a skin graft to the area or allow it to continue to fade which will happen over time, though slowly.
