I regularly perform chemical peels of varying depth in my office. In patients with severe rhytids of the face, I insist on Botox injections before the chemical peel to allow more even distribution of the acid solution during the procedure.
Can I get chemical peel two weeks after I had Botox (on the frown line between eyes only)?

Hi MD,
You may have a chemical peel after Botox. After Botox injections patients are advised to avoid lying down for at least 3 hours as a precaution to avoid inadvertent spread of Botox to the upper eye lids. Certainly two weeks after Botox there is no contraindication to a chemical peel.
In fact, I prefer to treat my patients with Botox about one week before a peel or Fraxel laser treatment because research has shown that skin heals better after these treatments if the skin does not move.
Good luck and be well. Happy Holidays.

Chemical peels can be done at the same time you do botox. If a crease or line is still present after you have your botox in effect, then you can peel it if it is very shallow or superficial. If the crease is still deep then I would fill it with either Juvaderm or Radiesse or Restylane.
