Hypothyroidism is not an absolute contraindication to Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing. It is however important that you are therapeutic in terms of your TSH level with thyroid supplement. Appropriate precautionary measures should be taken to maximize your clinical outcome such as prophylatic antibiotics, antiviral Rx, customized pre-op and post-op wound care routine for your skin type should be supervised by a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon, preferably by someone who has had experience in treating more than 50 cases of your skin type.
