Soft tissue fillers may used to correct scars that are depressed.

Stephen A. Goldstein, MD answers: Can fillers be used to correct surgical scars?

I've always wondered if fillers like Restylane, Perlane, and Juvederm can help with an indented surgical scar left from a scar revision surgery on the cheek?

Thanks for your question.  Soft tissue fillers may used to correct scars that are depressed.  By filling in the defect and improving the surface contour, the scar will appear improved. To determine if fillers are an option for you, I would see a board certified plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or facial plastic surgeon experienced in the treatment of scars.
