Asian blepharoplasty

Suzanne Kim Doud Galli, MD, PhD, FACS answers: Can I change my eye shape?

So far, I have not come across websites that offer to change the shape of the eyes per se. Although blepharoplasty might naturally change the eye shape to some extent (e.g. by making the eye rounder and larger), are there ways to make the eyes more almond shaped, for instance?

One of my most popular procedures is the Asian blepharoplasty or double eyelid procedure. This can be done for people who lack an upper eyelid crease, or for those who have a poorly defined crease, or for those that have multiple or asymmetric creases.

One of effects of this procedure is that the eyes appear larger. Patients seem more open-eyed while maintaining their ethnic identity. I have had several Eurasian patients request this procedure in order to enhance the Asian look of their eyelids.
