Hi Farnie - Unfortunately, a breast lift does leave scars.  it's a great procedure, but the scarring can't be avoided.  The lift can be done with incisions around the areola alone, around the areola and with a vertical incision, or with incisions around the areola, vertically, and horizontally under the breast.  The incisions used depends on the amount of sagginess of your breasts.  After the surgery, scar therapy can be done to help minimize the scars.  This involves the use of Mederma, silicone strips, Scar-Guard, and a number of other choices.  Good luck!
