Losing weight prior to tummy tuck or Brazilian Butt Lift.

Otto Joseph Placik, MD answers: Brazilian Butt Lift and Tummy Tuck advice

I am looking to get a Brazilian Butt Lift and a Tummy Tuck. Is it better to lose as much weight or fat for my tummy tuck, than to not lose weight and save up the fat for a Brazilian Butt Lift? Please give me some advice.

The most important thing is to be at a stable weight that you can realistically maintain over the long term. It is also recommended that this weight be within the healthy BMI range (less than 30)

It is of no use if you lose weight for your tummy tuck and then put it all back after surgery.
