Botox is great for hyperhidrosis

Patricia Farris, MD answers: Does Botox for hyperhidrosis work?

I've heard that you can get Botox for hyperhidrosis (i.e. Botox for excessive sweating). Is this experimental or is it FDA-approved? Does it work?

I love Botox for hyperhidrosis.  I use it only under the arms, since injecting the hands and feet is way too painful.  Under the arms it works like a charm and lasts 6  months or better in most patients.  Good news is most insurance companies are now covering this procedure with a pre-approval.
