Botox cost

John Philip Connors III, MD answers: How much does Botox cost?

I am in my late 20s and looking to get my first Botox injection for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet.  I don't want to get ripped off, so can someone please tell me - What is the normal cost of Botox?

Cost depends on where you live and who is injecting the product. I always tell my patients that the "WHO" does matter, or, it is not always the injectable that gives you the great results, but rather the INJECTOR, (who is injecting the product)!

I see that physician injectors may cost more than non-physicians. I am a surgeon and not only perform injections (botulinum toxin, fillers, etc.) but also perform invasive surgery. I feel because of my daily exposure to the muscles and nerves of the face (which I see at the time of face-lifts and nose surgery as well as cancer removal surgery) that I know exactly where and at what depth injections need to be at to be perfect. Because of this, I feel confident that my injection technique is sound, accurate and delivers awesome results. As such, I might charge a little more than a non-physician or a non-surgeon.

I have seen ranges in my area, charged by the unit injected, between $9-$16 per unit.

I hope this helps!

Actually, Botox Cosmetic is affordable. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the cost per treatment in the United States averages between $300.00 and $500.00, with results that last up to 4 months on average.

First, you always need to meet with the Physician or Nurse to determine if botox is the right product for your facial concerns. A lot of patients come in and think they need Botox when they may need an injectable filler or laser resurfacing.

During a free consultation a worksheet is presented to the patient  with a projected number of units that will most likely be used during an injection session. This gives the patient a very good idea of the amount it will cost to complete a session.

A: Botox costs less when you buy the least number of units to get the best result

Attempt to avoid the over done look from Botox injections. I tend to use the least number of units that will give each individual the best result.

There are any number of factors that come into play, including the depth of the wrinkles, thickness of the skin and the size of the underlying muscle.

On a young patient it is possible that you would need 30 units of Botox at a cost of approximately $10/unit.

I charge $300 per site, we do offer a special once every 4 months for $235 per site. After 2 weeks, if the patient is not satisfied, we can do a unit adjustment for $50. This happens once in awhile, and is not a big deal. Once we know that you needed a little more in that area, the next time you come in we go ahead and put a little extra there. It is best not to over correct with Botox. You can always add more, but you can't take it away.
