Botox can be injected by any licensed practitioner

Botox can be injected by any licensed practitioner. While it may be my personal opinion that certain types of practitioners are more suited to perform botox injections than others, the reality of the situation is that botox can be injected by nurses in most states, physician assistants, and all physicians. There is nothing to prevent any specialty from performing this procedure. My personal opinion is to go to someone with a lot of experience; however, even in the wrong hands a bad result is typically temporary and will usually resolve quickly. I prefer facial plastic surgeons, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and  some oculoplastic physicians.
