Botox Costs

John LoMonaco, MD answers: How much does Botox cost?

I am in my late 20s and looking to get my first Botox injection for frown lines, forehead lines, and crow's feet.  I don't want to get ripped off, so can someone please tell me - What is the normal cost of Botox?

I realize that every patient needs a different dose of Botox, but I still charge by the area treated.  It starts around $450.   If  a patient does not get a full effect, they receive a free treatment at 10 days.

My reason for this is that I think patients relate better to paying for the result, not the treatment.

A: Botox cost depends on several factors

Some Botox providers price their product by area treated, others by volume, others by units. The most reliable method is by units. Ask your provider "how many units are you placing in each of the specific areas".

The average price for Botox in the Houston area is $14-15/unit. Most providers nowadays will offer specials. In addition, Botox has a "rewards" program that gives you $25 off each treatment done within 3-6 mos of the last treatment, as long as it's done at the same office. Treatment of the glabella, crow's feet and forehead require 25-50 units, depending on the severity of the lines.
