The possible treatment depends on the anatomical basis for your ankle shape. The ankle joint is predominantly bone and tendon with little muscle so the shape is dominated by the amount and distribution of fat. However, some lower extremities are influenced by the size and shape of the muscles.
Depending on what you want to achieve, liposuction may be a viable alternative. Calf implants can also be used cautiously to add shape to the lower extremity and may complement contouring with liposuction. Often excellent results can be achieved.
