Augmentation with mastopexy

Dean Fardo, MD answers: Lollipop breast lift and implants in one procedure?

I am interested in getting a lollipop breast lift and a 370-400cc breast implants at the same time. I am currently a 36DD. I had one doctor tell me I need to do it in 2 seperate proceedures for best scaring results, the other tells me that I can do it in one. What is recomended?

This is a commonly asked question. Breast augmentation with mastopexy can be safely done together, but it is a more difficult operation and the surgeons skill and experience level play a bigger role than in some other procedures.

There are cases in which a 2 stage procedure may be preferable, and in general, scarring is usually better with a 2 stage approach.

Each case is unique and make sure that your surgeon is very comfortable with the combined technique. Good luck!
