Brow Lift

Theodore Katz, MD answers: Am I a good candidate for Brow lift and Blepharoplasty?

My eyebrows droop inwards too much, and I always have to lift the inner area up to stop the heavy feeling from my forehead and to keep from having an angry looking expression (which has caused deep forehead wrinkles). My upper eyelids always look a little puffy no matter how much I sleep.

Would a brow lift combined with eyelid surgery be the right procedures to fix the problem, or is there anything else you would recommend me to do? Attached is a picture of my normal, relaxed expression.

If you do a brow lift, I would recommend no blepharoplasty at the same time as it appears that the lift itself may give you enough improvement in the upper lid heaviness.  This assumes that you have tried the Botox or Dysport (but I feel this is unlikely to give you significant improvement).   Be sure to discuss your goals and expectations with your surgeon and he/she should thoroughly discuss the potential risks and complications of the procedure and the expected results.  Only you can weigh your options and decide what is best for you.
