Healing scar

Any damage to the skin will cause a scar. Usually, as the skin heals the scar may not be noticeable. Time will answer your question. Gentle massaging, about 5 minutes twice a day, of the concerned area may help fade the scar quicker. Scars in general take a full year to mature and during this time the scar will change in appearance.

Acne pimples take time to heal

Acne that has resolved frequently can leave brown/red discoloration an indentation or a bump. The discoloration usually fades over 4-6 months (sometimes longer) while the indentation or bump may be permanent/persistent. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between a pimple and a hypertrophic scar, although a "pimple" that lasts longer than 1-2 months is likely to be scar tissue. Good luck.
