I am getting 800cc Breast implants. I have some ptosis, Grade I or II. Is it possible to get Breast augmentation then Breast lift (if needed). Submuscular. Is this procedure done sometimes? The augmentation and then the lift. How common is it?

I was going to talk to the PS but just curious for your opinions because the nurse said some women choose this and the implants are big too. I am still choosing best option for me. I might just have to get lift then wait 3 months and get augmentation and just pay a little more and wait for bigger breast a little longer.

800cc implants

It sounds like you are quite unclear about your options and very uneducated on the consequences of having the biggest implants on the market placed in you. IF you have sagging breasts, then you need a Lift.if you have need for more volume you would benefit from an augmentation. If you need both a lift and volume you would benefit from either a single procedure or a staged Lift / Breast Augmentation. For the vast majority of women 800cc implants are a REALLY BAD idea. They will be... more

800 cc implants are really, really big

I have a hard time focusing on your question, as I can't get past the size of the implant your choosing. 800cc implants are gigantic. Not only will they look incredibly unnatural, but they will stretch out your breast tissue, supporting ligaments and skin. If you ever want them out, you will certainly need an extensive lift to deal with the loss of elasticity of breast skin. If you currently need a breast lift, then you should get a breast lift. You should not overcompensate with really... more

800 cc breast implants are huge

There are many risks associated with going with these enormous breast implants. These are well catagorized in other posts here. If you need a lift, why don't you have one with more reasonalbe implants rather than trying to lift the breasts with huge implants. This isn't a good idea.

800 cc implants

800 cc implants are the largest ones available. They are quite large and may cause you to sag even more after surgery.

If your breasts don't sag now, they certainly will after placement of the 800 cc implant and passage of time.

Choose your breast implant size wisely

Many of my patients request very large implants. I guess it is California!? You want to make sure that you realize that the larger the implants, the greater possibility of problems such as firmness and eventual ptosis or droopiness of the breasts due to the increase weight of the implants. Also, implants do not correct ptosis, just "push" forward what breast tissue and shape you have. So, if you are droopy now, you may need a conservative peri-aroelar uplift. Since this incision... more

I'm concerned about your long term satisfaction and well-being

Hi there- I think you need to very carefully consider the long term implications of using such large implants.... If these were not described to you, you should probably ask why... The average woman would be much better off having a well performed breast lift and more reasonably sized implants.

Get Breast Implants first, then see if Lift is still needed

It is very rare to do this large of an implants but not unheard of. Get breast implants first then the, breast lift if needed. Regards.

Breast lift with or with out implants is acceptable

You can choose to do the implants or the lift as a first procedure. You said the ptosis is slight, so, depending on how slight, it might turn out that you do not care to do a lift after the augmentation. However, if the ptosis is a little too much you might want to do this first; it all depends on what your priorities are. Many times the lift and implants are done at the same time. Is there a reason not to do them together? Make sure you have been well informed about large breast... more

800 cc implants and breast lift

Your situation sounds too complex to give a pat answer to. You have to decide wjhat it is that you want and your plastic surgeon can tell you how to get there if it is possible. If you do not like the answer then either you and/or he will need to alter your opinion as to the results or the way to get there. An anaolgy: If I want to go to Europe for a vacation but I do not want to fly, the only other way is to take a boat or dont go. Alternatively I could go to Canada by car or train. Or... more

Huge breast implants are bad.

Hi. Even without seeing you, I would urge you not to get 800 cc breast implants. Huge implants stretch your tissues and age very badly. I recommend smaller implants together with a breast lift (at the same time) if you need it.

Breast implants and lift

800 cc implants are really, really big and will irreversibly stretch out your skin. I would urge you to rethink the decision to go so large. You may be initially pleased with your appearance, but with so much stretch of the breast tissue you will almost certainly require further surgery with more incisions at some point. Breast lifts can be performed after augmentations if needed. I suggest discussing the implant size and breast lifts with your plastic surgeon who can give you a better... more
