400cc Breast Implants After Skin-Sparing Mastectomy - I Look Small

I had a skin sparing masctomey. I had 400cc expanders and I just had my exchange and they look way too small. he put 400cc high profile implants in. I wanted to be a c cup and to me I look like a a/b cup once I heal will they become bigger or is this my end result. Will I fluff up over time? I'm so dissapointed. Thank you

Breast reconstruction with 400cc implant and still small

I would be surprised if a 400 cc implant only achieved an A cup. You should be larger than that when things settle out but it does depend on several factors including your height weight and band width.

What was the amount of tissue removed

The first information that can help to decide the size of the final implant is the weight of the mastectomy tissue. The other important factor is that the expanders are under your muscle and your surgeon will increase the size as your tissue relaxes. please do not focus on the size only. Too big  a implant will cause problem with healing. For the patients that want bigger breast after the implant reconstruction, I use fat grafting to enhance the result.

At this stage it's unlikely that your breast will become bigger as they're probably a little bit swollen at the moment and will

Thank you for your enquiry, I think at this stage it's unlikely that your breast will become bigger as they're probably a little bit swollen at the moment and will settle with time. The rest of implants may drop a little bit with time and you may have get some fluffing over the period. On balance I would let everything settle and all the swelling dissipate before assessing the final result and deciding whether you would like to increase the size of your bust and breast... more

Implant choices

This is something that you and your surgeon should have discussed before placing the permanent prosthesis.  I wouldn't jump into a revision just yet.
