Juvederm Ultra Plus for subtle laugh lines

If you are referring to the nasolabial folds, Juvederm Ultra Plus would be an excellent choice.  If the lines are subtle, one syringe may be more than enough.  Juvederm Ultra Plus is a great filler for deeper lines and hollows. For fine superficial wrinkles, Juvederm Ultra would be a better choice. If you are working with an experienced injector, you may discuss with them the possibility of a biostimulatory filler like Radiesse or Sculptra, which would promote... more

Juvederm Ultra Plus good for subtle depressed laugh lines that are not etched

Juvederm Ultra Plus is a very good choice for subtle laugh lines that are not etched in.  If they are etched in, a thinner product such as Juvederm Ultra or Restylane would probably be better since it can be placed more superficially in the skin which is where it needs to go to improve etching.

Juvederm Ultra Pulse for Subtle Laugh Lines

If the laugh lines are subtle, they need a subtle filler.  Juvederm Ultra Plus is more cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler and is intended for filling deeper lines.  Subtle lines need a less "thick" filler, or less cross-linked.  This would include Juvedern Ultra.  Experts in filler injection can vary the needle size or use other expert techniques to produce results that look smooth and natural.

Filler for laugh lines

You need to be seen in person to evaluate how fine and superficial your lines are. For some people even the thinner Juvederm Ultra or Restylane would be too visible as lumps because their lines are too fine or only obvious when they smile. For others their lines or smile folds are deep enough that Juvederm Ultra Plus or Perlane would be the filler of choice.

If the lines are merely etched, Juvederm Ultra Plus is too thick

Juvederm Ultra Plus is best for folds and to provide a lift. Since it is a bit thicker, if it is injected too superficially into suble lines, lumping and a blue tinge can result.

Filler choice depends on facial area

When considering which filler is best for certain facial areas, it pays to see an experienced injector.  If, by "subtle laugh lines", you mean small superficial areas around the mouth and cheeks with motion, Juvederm Ultra Plus may be a great choice.  It is not a great choice for small perioral wrinkles, though, as it is generally too thick for this area (Juvederm Ultra works better here).  However, if you are experiencing significant volume depletion, Sculptra... more
