I'm 53, 112lbs, breast width 11.9, slim. My doctor gave me the choice of 304cc or 339cc mentor or allagash moderate. Which will fit my frame better for a more natural look? I understand implants are not considered bra size. My question is ive known i want the breast size of FULL/BIG C. What will a 304cc get me? what will a 339cc get me?? Secondly, i have NEVER been fat and i have strecth marks, will i most likely get them on my breasts after the surgery??

Choosing the right implant size

Hello, The volume difference between the two implants is very small and not likely a critical decision in terms of size of appearence. The more important question is whether a 300-350 range implant is the right size for you. It is important to get an idea of what that size implant looks like on you and if you like that look. I would try on both implant sizes in your plastic surgeons office. If they both look good then it will not matter which one you choose. If... more

Will the differnce be visible?

Thanks for asking this question. My patients struggle with sizing their implants all the time so I am familar with the anguish and stress it can cause. In your case the real question should be "is 30 cc a big difference and will it be visible?" The best way to aswer that is that the difference you are talking about here in cc's is about that of a shot glass. It is not that much. if you had the larger implant on one side and the smaller one on the... more

"Try on" the Implant Volume and then Trust Your Surgeon

Hi fullofquestions: i like the idea of trying on an implant (a sizer in a bra or the ziplock filled with rice at home) to see what you look like with the implant in place with clothing on (i recommend trying on with a plain snug tank top). i have my patients try on a few sizes after we discuss the "style" that is desired: flashy, natural etc. those words do mean different things to different people so they only help guide us in the right... more

Choosing your implant size

There is very little difference between those sizes( a few tablespoons). Usually, I recommend going slightly higher when deciding between implants so close together. Your surgeon can help you if you really can't choose since he or she has examined you personally. Stretch marks are rare with implants that size but they are possible, especially if your skin is fairly tight. Good luck!

Implant volumes

A small difference in volume will not be a big difference. Perform a "baggy test' filling the volume in a bag and placing it in a loose bra. Then place a tight t-shirt over it.

304cc versus 339cc-Which Is Right For Me?

Dear fullofquestions, The size difference between the two implants you are interested in is about one ounce; a size difference that is very subtle. When choosing between the two implants that are so close in size, I recommend you let your plastic surgeon make the decision in the operating room. Your surgeon can use sizers, temporary implants, that will help them visualize the subtle differences between the sizes and then select the best implant size to achieve your... more

IMPLANT SIZE

Both sizes will give you a very nice result. If your goal is a C cup, I would recommend the 339 cc. It is difficult to predict who will develop stretch marks following breast augmentation. Usually it occurs in nulliparous females who have a tight skin envelope and a family history of breast striae.

What size implants?

Having decided against the 400cc implants, the difference between 300 and 339 cc is much less, smaller than three tablespoons. Either will give you full B to C cup, depending on your pre-surgical size/volume, and a relatively natural outcome.

Breast Implant Size?

Thank you for the question. I would suggest communicating your goals as clearly as possible with your plastic surgeon and then asking him/her to make a decision about the specific implant to be used intraoperatively. The difference between the implants you mention is minimal. In regards to communication, I find the use of goal pictures to be very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C cup” or "fake... more
