Three years ago I developed shingles around my eye/ eyebrow. At the time, I treated the scabs with Vitamin E oil, etc., but I developed large-ish, depressed scars around my eyebrows -which also resulted in loss of eyebrow hairs. Is there anything I can do now, three years on, to resolve this? Lasers or dermarollers? I am 34 years old, and actually all of the skin on my face could benefit with some sort of resurfacing treatment, as I have small wrinkles, uneven skin tone and sun damage. Thanks

Treatment for facial scars
You correctly assume laser resurfacing (carbon dioxide) is likely the treatment of choice. Prophylaxis with high dose Valtrex (valcyclovir) recommended. More than one session may be required to achieve the smooth complexion you desire. Deep chemical peel(s), such as croton oil, may be a suitable alternative. Injectable filler, full strength or diluted, may be needed for isolated saucer shaped deeper scars. Micro grafts or micro pigmentation can restore brow appearance.
