Is there a difference between a right sided silicone breast implant versus a left sided silicone breast implant? Is the form different for each side of the breast. I'm saying the way the implant is put in a womans body. Is there a right vs left?

Sided implants. No such thing.

Breast implants do not come in sided pairs. The differences in implants have to do with volume(size), profile(projection versus base dimension), smooth vs textured and round vs tear drop shaped.

Implants do not have a left or right side

Breast implants are not made for a "right or left" breast. The different shapes are either round or tear-drop (anatomic).

It is not necessary to have a specific implant shape for the right and another for the left.

It is not necessary to have a specific implant shape for the right breast and another for the left. There are two basic implant shapes, round and tear drop(anatomical) and symmetrical results are achieved by using an identical pair of one or the other. However, if a patient has an asymmetry of her breast size then this might be corrected by inserting different size implants of the same shape. The larger implant is placed in the smaller breast and a smaller implant in the larger breast.... more

No difference

In contrast to shoes or gloves, there is no difference between breast implants used on each side of the body.

Right vs Left

There is no difference. There are no left or right implants. They only vary in their size.We used to do tear drop now we have lo,moderate and high profile.

Breast Implants

Nope...breast implants available in the US come in many shapes (anatomic vs round, smooth vs textured, high profile vs moderate plus profile vs moderate profile, gel vs saline vs both gel and saline). However, they do not come in left or right sided.

Implants

There is no designation for right or left implants.  If you think about it, you want two that are the same inserted.
+1

Right "sided" implants vs. Left "sided" implants

No there are no side specific implants.  Implants are designed with the thought that one side is a mirror image of the other so that there use is universal. Dr. ES

Implant types

There is no specific right sided breat implant versus a left sidedd one.  They are the same in all instances unless you have a significant size discrepancy and want larger implants
+1

Left versus right breast implants

In general with a round implant there are no differences between right and left. With use of an anatomic (tear drop) implant the vertical axis needs to be properly maintained so as to avoid excessive tilt in the wrong direction. see video

Breast implants are the same, right and left

Unlike shoes and gloves, the breasts are the same right and left and there is no right and left breast implant. The same implant will look perfectly well on either side. Best of luck, peterejohnsonmd

Breast Implants Are Not Right/Left Sided

Although breast implants (both silicone and saline) come in different shapes and sizes, there are no right nor left-sided implants.  Any implant can be used on either breast.  Sometimes different sizes are used on each breast, but I think no one would use different shapes on either breast.

Right versus Left Breast Implants?

Breast implants do not have sides.  Shoes have a left and a right.  Gloves have a left and a right.  However, breast implants are round, so there is no anatomical reason to have a different shape for the left versus the right side.  I hope this answers your question.

Breast impants are round or tear-drop in shape. They can be used on both sides.

Breast implants don't have a sidedness. Having said that we frequently used different implants on each side to treat asymmetries.

Implant sides

I hope I am answering the question you are asking.  When we get breast implants, there is no "right" side and "left" side.  The implants are made to go in either side of the body.  As far as technique is concerned, the one side should "mirror" the other side.  If you are having post-implantation issues, contact your surgeon so that he/she can further elaborate on your concerns.
