Breast Reduction Surgery May Be Covered By Insurance
I assume your question is about insurance covering your procedure? If you have neck, back pain due to size of your breasts, you MAY qualify for insurance coverage. A certain amount of breast tissue must be removed to qualify for insurance, so only your plastic surgeon can make this determination.

Eligibility for a Breast Reduction
When you ask about being "eligible" for a breast reduction I assume you are asking about if you would qualify for insurance coverage for the procedure. Insurance wants to know the physical symptoms caused by breast weight and they are interested to know if you have required any medical care to deal with these symptoms, such as physical therapy or chiropractic care. Your height and weight are placed in formula to calculate your body surface area. A certain amount of weight must be removed...

Juvenile Breast Reduction
Thank you for the question.
It sounds like you may be dealing with juvenile breast hypertrophy along with the physical and psychosocial consequences of this diagnosis. In other words, the breasts are too large for the frame causing both physical and psychological distress.
Please make sure that you do your homework and understand the potential risk and complications associated with breast reduction surgery. You also understand that further surgery may be necessary in the future...

Appropriateness of breast reduction
With significant back pains associated with your enlarged breasts (and possibly other symptoms that you didn't mention), you may very well benefit from a breast reduction. Whether or not your insurance plan even provides for coverage for a breast reduction and if so, if you would qualify are issues that will have to be determined.
You should seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area who could examine you, provide you with all the relevant and important...

Breast reduction eligibility
You are a good candidate for reduction based on what you have written. It is important that you are at a stable weight and that you work with a board certified plastic surgeon with a great deal of experience in this area. Make sure your surgeon understands your goals and can show you pre- and post-op pictures so you have an idea of what kind of results are reasonable.

Breast reduction
That is a good question. The short answer is you are ready for a breast reduction whenever you and your doctor feel your symptoms warrant the procedure. I have done a reduction on many younger women but not until they can assure me their breasts have not changed in size for at least one year and they thoroughly understand that scars are for life and breast feeding may not work after the surgery. As to whether or not you have insurance coverage for the procedure, that depends entirely on the...

Am I eligible for a breast reduction?
It sounds like you may benefit from a breast reduction - and insurance may cover it. You will need to check your policy to find out if breast reductions are covered and what sort of presurgical treatment you need to have, if any, to qualify. You will need to consult with a plastic surgeon who will determine if you are a good candidate from a medical perspective as well as a surgical perspective (if your breasts are big enough and/ or your symptoms severe enough), and then he...

Breast reduction surgery works well.
Breast reduction surgery works well for the problems you have described, from my vantage point, over the Internet. After the procedure you may find it easier to excercise and strengthen you the muscles that support your back. I have had patients come in and tell my their back pain is gone 48 hours after surgery. Every patient has a different set of variables, but carrying the weight of double D's, in my opinion, is never healthy. Breast reduction...
