i rested a few days and tried again, still sharp pain.

"Rip" after Burpee

I doubt this is related to your previous abdominoplasty, but could have been some scar tissue tearing. If your pain persists, you will need to be evaluated for a hernia, or torn muscle.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience. It will be in your best interests to be examined by your primary care physician.
