My derm said I have Keratosis Pilaris Rubra, not to be confused w/Keratosis Rubra. I have Round flat red Dots all over legs. My friend has the same issue. She did 2 Vbem laser sessions a few months ago and had to d/c since she developed white spots all over her legs, as if it is now discolored. She is olive skin like me, Hispanic. Is PDL not recommended for Olive skin? Is PDL not the right procedure for these dots? Is there anything else I can do for this? Glycogen peels didnt work
I have keratosis pilaris on both cheeks with much redness, I want to have a procedure to get rid of the redness, and have come to believe pulsed dye laser is best for this? However Ive seen that it leaves red bruises on your face for a while after the treatment? If so how long do these last and are they easy to cover up with foundation? Also on average how much does this cost?
I had Keratosis Pilaris for several years, and now have red scars all over my upper arms. I went to a Dermatologist in Los Angeles who offers all kinds of lasers. He recommended a short pulse flash lamp dye laser treatment to blend in the scarred areas with the skin surrounding them. He suggested three treatments at intervals of two weeks, for a cost of $2500 each. This sounds like a lot of money to me, so I wonder, are his advice and estimate legitimate?
