Hello, I'm wondering if I should save up for laser treatments but I'm not sure if it's suitable for my skin. South Asians (Indian/Bengali/Pakistani/Sri Lankan) are prone to pigmentation. I also have hypermobility where my skin bruises and cuts very easily. Would a patch test be done first and can PDL treat broken veins on South Asian skin? Thank you to the doctors who will answer my questions.
9 days ago I had pulse dye laser on a small port wine stain . I bruised terribly . They said use a heavy moisturizer . I did but also have been using vinegar rinsesive been taking great care of it .There is now a dent on my chin from the laser. Is this a normal process after PDL? I went to Derm 2 days ago to ask if this was normal and she said yes and said it looked fine.yet I feel concerned about the pit(on my right side) and the way it looks .will I scar ?What will fox the dent ? Thank you !
I had Pulse dye laser at bruising setting to help with blood vessels and rosacea on Monday. It is now Saturday. So five days later I still have bruising that has barely faded in this time. I'm also having yellowing around the bruise by my eye. Is this normal? I have been using vitamin K cream and arinica. Should I be concerned with this?
I had a pulse dye laser treatment for a red spot on my face (I have rosecea). I ended up with quite a bruise. Is this normal? Is it possible I might scar or have permanent discolouration? How long does it take to resolve and what can I do to speed up the process?
I had a Pulse Laser Dye treatment that lasted 10 mins. for redness associated with a scar on my nose from MOH's surgery one year ago. The derm stated I would be bruised and all the literature and these Q's and A's indicate that brusing should occur. I had no bruising. Should I assume the Derm didn't do the procedure correctly or had the wrong setting that accomplished nothing?
