Effective writing tips for your article posts

• Use concise, informative titles: focus on keywords and avoid obscure or technical terms

Good titles:
1.    Salicylic acid peels for acne treatment
2.    10 anti-aging foods you should be eating now
3.    Tips to avoid bad laser hair removal outcomes
4.    Abdominal liposuction cost in Chicago

Not so good:
1.    Promotional: Slimmer thighs now!
2.    Vague: It depends...
3.    Too long: You should only see a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery for breast augmentation
4.    Confusing terms: Treating erythema after epidermal vaporiz

• Make the article easy to scan.  Web users don’t read, they browse.  Try:

1.    Short paragraphs
2.    Bullets where appropriate
3.    Numbered lists where appropriate
4.    Limit article discussion to one topic

• Stick to one idea per paragraph

• Start with the conclusion – (give the details upfront; don’t make readers work for them)

• Authenticity resonates– if readers think you are promoting, they’ll tune you out.
