Dr. Vasisht graduated from Rutgers University in 1991. He completed his medical school at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)- Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1995.
Dr. Vasisht began his training at Boston Medical Center in general surgery and finished his general surgery training at Staten Island University Hospital. He completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at UMDNJ- New Jersey Medical School. Dr. V was appointed the administrative chief resident in Plastic Surgery during the last year of his training. He went on to complete a hand and microsurgery fellowship at University of Connecticut- Hartford Hospital.
After his training, Dr. Vasisht spent two years teaching and performing plastic surgery at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. V is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He held an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Surgery in the department of Plastic Surgery. He has published numerous medical articles in peer reviewed medical journals. He has written numerous book chapters and spent time giving lectures around the world.
