After 8 years of prk, checked my eyesightness at the drs office and Got +0.25 -0.75right eye and -0.25 -0.50 left eye .. do i really need glasses or is there a touch up for prk and i remember i had scarring 2 months after the surgery in one eye and the other one was perfect
Kind Doctors, i've had monovision PRK surgery 2 years ago, on my right eye. My prescription before the surgery was: -1.0 Right, -0.75 left. It seems that now i am: +0.75 right (+1.0 in Cycloplegia) and still -0.75 left (-0.50 in Cycloplegia). My questions are: 1. Could this overcorrection regress in the future? I'm 30 yo. 2. This bigger difference between the two gives me a strange feeling. Could correct the other one help or there are chances of overcorrection fo small amount?
I have blepharities and MGD along with dry eye. I dont know how long only realized I had it once I started noticing enlarged blood vessels. I have started doing IPL but I still have very tired yellow looking eyes with blood vessels always dilated. Is there a procedure to treat this? Replacing conjunctival tissue with a healthy one, or a less invasive way such as lasering off the veins? Also, is there any eye whitening preservative free drops in the making?
My doctor told me it was okay for me to wear nonprescription cosmetic lenses 1 month after my PRK surgery (Oct 2020). I even had to get an enhancement on my left eye 7 months ago (July 2021) due to residual astigmatism. Today, my vision is still blurry but when I wear that same pair of nonprescription cosmetic lenses, my vision sharpens and becomes more crisp. Why is this?
I know LASIK is ruled out as an option for me. Also, can I do something to increase my corneal thickness to be eligible for LASIK? I'm too scared about ICL because it's possible side effects include BLINDNESS. Is it better to wait sometime maybe the thickness increases?
My prescription is -5.5 diopters and -2.75 astigmatism in both eyes, both eyes have corneal thickness of 480 microns. I do not want to undergo anything other than PRK. I have had two consultations and one doctor recommended ICL, the other said I can have PRK and will have 370 microns of thickness left after surgery. Does this sound correct? How much cornea thickness do I need to correct -8.25 D with PRK?
I had PRK surgery 7 days ago, I went to my second follow up appt. yesterday and the doctor took out the contact bandage, he said there was epithelium left around the eye and I was going to feel like a had dirt in my eye which I did, my eye got very watery and burning like sensation. He put the contact back on and said to leave it for two more days. I am still using the steroid drops and today they started to hurt my eye when I apply them. I feels like something is stabbing my eye.
My vision at computer screen distance is very unclear (blurry and double vision) 18 days after my PRK surgery. Started about 8-9 days after the surgery and has been unchanged since then. My distance vision is seems to be ok. I work at a computer all day and have not been able to return to work because of this. Called my doctors office but they told me to wait it out until my next follow up appointment. My prescription before PRK was -3.00 in both eyes and I am 27 years old. Is this normal?
